Pricing Pioneer: As the only professional certified in law firm management (CLM) and pricing (CPP), Patrick has championed pricing strategy, process improvement, and project management in several law firms. In the last decade, he has led an AmLaw 100 Pricing & Project Management team (Reed Smith) and a Practice Management team (Seyfarth Shaw), as well as an AmLaw 200 Pricing & Project Management team (Kobre & Kim). Patrick served on the LegalBizDev Advisory Board for Legal Project Management, Pricing and Alternative Fee Arrangements. For his pricing contributions to the legal industry, Patrick was elected a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management in 2015.
At the Intersection of Business Development + Marketing + Pricing: Patrick is a past member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), authoring several articles for its award-winning Legal Management magazine; the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), serving as its 2002 National Education Committee Chair; and the Professional Pricing Society (PPS). He served as a member of the ALA Chicago Board of Directors and the LMA Midwest Board of Directors. He has been active in the Legal Sales and Service Organization (LSSO) and the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA)–which honored him with the 2013 Outstanding Member-Contributed Magazine Article. Law360 named Patrick to its inaugural Legal Industry Editorial Advisory Board in 2014.
